Service Club is looking for students who want to spread some holiday cheer while giving back to our community!
Come learn about Making Spirits Bright—a festive drive-through light show choreographed to music that brings holiday magic to the community while collecting food donations for families in need through the Sheboygan County Food Bank.
Guest speaker Sue Breitbach-Fenn will be joining Service Club to share information about volunteer opportunities for the Making Spirits Bright Walk/Run through the Lights on November 21.

October 13–15: Special Schedule & Student Activities
Students, please pay close attention to the schedule for Tuesday, October 13 through Thursday, October 15. There will be several special activities, testing, and community service opportunities taking place.
Permission slips are due to your Advisement teacher by Monday, October 5. Advisement teachers will distribute student packets and permission slips during Advisement on Wednesday, September 30.
Tuesday, October 13 – Rudy Ruettiger All-School Kick-Off
- Regular start time – 7:35 AM
- Report to Advisement for attendance.
- 7:40 AM – Meet in the Auditorium
- We will welcome Rudy Ruettiger, whose inspirational story was the basis for the movie Rudy.
- Rudy will speak about perseverance, setting goals, overcoming challenges, and believing in yourself.
Wednesday, October 14 – Camp Y-Koda / ACT & PreACT Testing
- Arrive by 7:50 AM
- Students participating in Camp Y-Koda should meet in the Commons.
- Bus departs at 9:00 AM
- Dress for outdoor, active activities: layers and closed-toe athletic shoes.
- Bring a bag lunch or request a school lunch.
- Students participating in testing will meet in the Lower Level Spanish/Social Studies Hallway.
- Testing students will be released by noon.
- Testing incentives will be provided—watch for the incentive information sheet.
Thursday, October 15 – Challenge Day / Community Service
- Arrive by 7:50 AM
- Students participating in Challenge Day will meet in the Library.
- Challenge Day is an interactive experience focused on building connections, empathy, respect, communication, acceptance, and a more supportive school community.
- Students participating in Senior Community Service will meet in the Auditorium Lobby.
- Seniors participating in community service will be released at noon and will not have lunch at school.
- Dress appropriately for indoor and/or outdoor work.
- No food will be provided for testing or community service.
- Lunch will be served for Challenge Day.
- All activities end at approximately 2:30 PM, unless otherwise noted.
⭐ Important Reminders
- Permission slips are due Monday, October 5.
- YA Jobs students are expected to be present for testing and Challenge Day.
- Schedules and student lists will be posted around the school.
- Please check your schedule carefully and BE PRESENT!
- Camp Y-Koda students should watch for the separate information regarding bag lunches.

Tiger Pride Reminder: Before entering the school building each morning, cell phones and other personal electronic devices must be put away in your backpack or purse. Once you enter the building, your phone should remain put away. When you arrive at your locker, you will place your phone there, where it will remain the entire school day (7am-3pm). Cell phones and personal electronic devices may not be accessed during classes, Advisement, passing periods, lunch, and all other portions of the school day.
